SAP Education needed to make it simpler for customers to find and book training courses. The broad range of software supplied by SAP, combined with the variety of job functions within each application, meant navigation had always been a challenge.
Once they had found the right section, customers still had to work out which courses they had, and had not completed, and which ones they were qualified to do next.
Tangent’s solution was to create personalised web sites for each SAP customer. When visited, each one contains a personalised curriculum map, showing courses already completed and highlighting next steps.
To book, visitors click on the course they want to complete and are taken straight to the automated booking and confirmation process.
Tangent also supplies personalisation to the rest of the page, offering closely targeted extras and useful tools designed to appeal to each individual.
The final element is SAP’s marketing interface, which lets them set up, segment, execute and report on outbound messaging campaigns to sell more courses. With messages sent via email and personalised digital print, each marketing communication was personal to the individual, right down to imagery and curriculum map, all from the same set of assets used to generate the personal websites.
So now the same images and information that make up the SAP Education website are instantly re-purposed for use in personal print and email campaigns, without any manual reprocessing or data extraction. It makes for an exceptionally effective marketing application and a greatly enhanced customer experience for SAP clients.
